The Glare of Threat

He’d made a mistake, but no one told him how big it was. Letting him think fate still lustered in his favor and decided things for the better. Instead of guilt, remorse and threat he felt a deep sense of destiny. The stars glared at his sinful soul and he took it for the lustering approval of heavenly bodies.
