Dreary in the midst of the chaos within
Embrace me my love let my surrender begin
Timid I will be once your body takes me for a spin

I love the simplicity, but the deep message, too. The last line, brilliant. I mean it.

Dear AD,

I concur wholeheartedly with ThomG.

It is a tender, tentative ending, as even the most ardent lover can be once things shift from mind to body. Ah, the duality of the psyche.

Really nice poem, AD.

Thank you for this.

Tschuess,
Chris

PS I don't think I put you behind the curtain at all, AD. It is, however, a pleasure to make your e-acquaintance.

ok, next time i am going to use the 3 in separate sentences. Should be a challenge, trying to keep them apart (and different). there are so many ways to do this, and as a beginner, I feed off you (and others).

I often feel like a should just skip commenting on poetry. I feel like a caveman trying to grasp the nuance of a fine sculpture. But sheesh, this one got me. Simple AND powerful.
